The gacha unlocks partners using tickets earned in the game. Choose a regional banner, then spend one normal ticket for a single pull, ten normal tickets for a ten-pull, or one ×10 ticket for a ten-pull. A ×10 ticket is its own ticket type, not ten individual items in the normal-ticket balance.
Base rarity rates
| Rarity | Normal pull weight | Normal duplicate coins |
|---|---|---|
| 1 star — Common | 45% | 15 |
| 2 stars — Uncommon | 30% | 30 |
| 3 stars — Rare | 17% | 60 |
| 4 stars — Epic | 6.5% | 120 |
| 5 stars — Legendary rarity | 1.5% | 300 |
These are the base rarity weights, not the chance of a particular Pokémon. Guarantees alter an eligible pull. The code also checks the actual regional pool and falls back to a nearby rarity if a selected pool is empty. A gacha rarity label does not, by itself, identify a main-series legendary species.
Five-star pity: the 70th pull
Each region has its own pity counter. The counter increments before the guarantee check; when it reaches 70, the desired rarity becomes five stars. A five-star result resets that banner’s counter. With no earlier five-star, the guarantee is on pull 70, not pull 71.
The source’s introductory comment is easy to read as ‘after 70, the next pull’; the executed increment-and-check order is why this guide states the 70th pull. Do not add progress from different regional banners together.
What a ten-pull guarantees
If the first nine results in that ten-pull contain no four-star-or-better result, the tenth rolls from the four/five-star weights unless five-star pity already applies. In the normal non-pity guarantee case, those weights are 6.5 and 1.5 out of 8 total, so the five-star share is 18.75% on that guaranteed slot. This is not the five-star rate for every pull in the batch.
Ten separate single pulls do not use that batch guarantee. Choose a ten-pull when you want that guarantee, while still keeping your intended regional target in mind.
Regional banners and target Pokémon
The nine banners are Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar and Paldea. A partner must be in that generation’s supported sprite pool to be selected. Pick the region for your target, then check the collection before spending; a featured legendary is not a promise that the next five-star will be that specific Pokémon.
Shinies and duplicates
The base shiny check is 1 in 100 for a selected Pokémon with an available shiny. Current code redirects a shiny result you already own to a missing shiny in the same rarity pool when possible; if none remain, it becomes a normal result. Normal duplicates award the coin refunds above. See shiny hunting for why a published base chance is not a guarantee of one shiny every 100 pulls.
Earn more tickets through missions, achievements and runs. Our hosted Hub edition also offers a welcome ticket through WELCOMEHUB. That Hub-only reward does not work in the original game.
One hands-on Kanto sample
On October 15, I used one Kanto ×10 ticket and then seven normal tickets. All ten ten-pull results were new, including Kabutops (Epic). The seven singles produced four new Pokémon and three duplicates: Omanyte (Uncommon) once and Mankey (Common) twice. The balance rose by 60 coins across those duplicates, matching the listed 30 + 15 + 15 refunds. This small sample illustrates the interface and refund behavior; it does not estimate the rarity probabilities above.
